ALBUQUERQUE—Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury (NM-01) led a letter urging House Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-04) to bring the U.S. House of Representatives back into session to approve necessary funding for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) to fulfill their Hurricane Helene and Milton relief missions. Recent legislation has provided initial relief funds but falls critically short of what will be necessary to address the scale of destruction and the recovery needs for Fiscal Year 2025.

It was sent to Michael S. Barr, Vice Chair for Supervision on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and Michael J. Hsu, Acting Comptroller for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
