Officially launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015, the Congressional App Challenge is a competition designed to encourage student participation in computer science and coding. This nationwide effort allows students to compete against their peers by creating an application (also known as an “app”) for desktop/PC, web, tablet, mobile, raspberry Pi or other devices.

The 2023 Congressional App Challenge is open to all middle and high school students in New Mexico’s First Congressional District. To enter the competition, please click HERE to submit your app through the official Congressional App Challenge website. The competition deadline is November 1, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. ET.

The winner from New Mexico’s First Congressional District will be announced by the end of the year. The winning app will be featured on the Congressional App Challenge website and will also be eligible to be on display in the U.S. Capitol.

For more information, please visit the official Congressional App Challenge website, e-mail StudentSupport@CongressionalAppChallenge.us, or contact Congresswoman Stansbury’s District Office at (505) 346-6781.
