Rep. Stansbury’s Statement on Veterans Day

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury (NM-01) released the following statement on Veterans Day:

“On this Veterans Day, and every day, we honor the brave men and women who served our country with unwavering dedication and sacrifice - some giving the ultimate sacrifice and laying down their lives to protect our freedoms.

“New Mexicans have a long and proud tradition of service that extends throughout our communities. As we reflect on those sacrifices made by service members, we must also recognize the challenges many veterans face upon returning home.

“It is our solemn duty as Americans to ensure veterans and their families are respected, supported, and given access to the resources to live full and healthy lives after their service.

“Let us recommit ourselves to honoring their sacrifices not just through words but through actions that improve their lives. Together, we can build a future where every veteran truly feels valued and supported.

“Thank you to all veterans for your service. You are true heroes.”
