ALBUQUERQUE – Today, Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury (NM-01) held a press conference with local organizations that she helped secure federal funding for through Community Project Funding. These projects work to expand the affordable housing supply and support seniors, families, and young people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity across New Mexico.
WASHINGTON— As communities across New Mexico face interconnected challenges in addressing public safety, housing and homelessness, water security, and economic development, Representative Melanie Stansbury (NM-01) selected 15 Congressionally funded community projects, totaling $104,253,714 million, to submit for consideration in the upcoming 2025 budget process.
WASHINGTON – Reps. Adrian Smith (R-NE), Terri Sewell (D-AL), Darin LaHood (R-IL), and Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) reintroduced the Keep Physicians Serving Patients Act, legislation to help ensure seniors in rural America have access to health care providers by adjusting the geographic practice cost index (GPCI) to more accurately portray the costs of practicing medicine in rural areas.
