Rep. Stansbury's Statement on 9/11 Anniversary

September 11, 2023

WASHINGTON —Rep. Melanie Stansbury released the following statement on the anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

“Today, we remember the thousands of innocent lives who were tragically taken in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. As we mark this somber anniversary, let us stand together in unity, honoring their memory and working towards a more peaceful and understanding world. In New Mexico, we are honoring Alfred Marchand – a flight attendant from Alamogordo who was tragically murdered when his assigned flight crashed into the World Trade Center. As we continue to mourn these devastating losses, this is also a moment to thank our first responders whose bravery and courageously saved so many lives. In Congress, I will continue to fight for the resources that our heroic first responders need to care for their visible and invisible wounds.”
