Rep. Stansbury Statement on Positive COVID Test

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury (N.M.-01) released the following statement after receiving a positive COVID-19 test:
 
“Today, I tested positive with a breakthrough case of COVID-19, though I am fully vaccinated and boosted. I am currently quarantining at home and following medical guidance after experiencing respiratory symptoms. Thank you to everyone who has reached out.

“I am deeply grateful to all of our health care workers who are working on the front lines every day to save lives and care for our communities, and to the scientists and researchers who have developed safe, effective vaccines to meet this unprecedented challenge.

It is more important than ever to do our part by getting vaccinated, boosted, and masking up to protect our communities. I urge all New Mexicans to get vaccinated as soon as possible and to take good care and look out for one another."
