Rep. Stansbury Statement on Passage of CR to Keep the Government Open

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury (N.M.-01) released the following statement following the passage of the continuing resolution to keep the government open.

“Today, I was proud to vote to keep the government open and avert a government shutdown,” Rep. Stansbury said. “This continuing resolution is a huge win for House Democrats who have fought to ensure that there were no cuts to critical programs or policy riders that would harm our communities. While we will continue to negotiate over appropriations and funding bills, this measure avoids a shutdown and ensures all our federal workers are paid. It will save thousands of New Mexicans from falling behind on bills ahead of the holiday season. It’s a victory for the American people.”
