Rep. Stansbury Releases Statement During Hispanic Heritage Month

ALBUQUERQUE — U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury (NM-01) released the following statement during Hispanic Heritage Month:

“Today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month—a celebration of culture, heritage, and generations of roots for so many New Mexicans and Americans. 

“Hispanic heritage is deeply woven into the fabric of our lives in New Mexico, and it shapes who we are every single day. I am grateful to have been raised in a place that celebrates diversity, tradition, and the importance of community. 

“This month and every month, we honor Hispano, Latino, and Chicano heritage, history, and ways of life in New Mexico and across the United States. And, we continue to honor the legacies of those who came before and ensure those who come after have a seat at the table.”
