Rep. Stansbury Meets with Sec. Pete Buttigieg

WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Melanie Stansbury (N.M.-01) met with Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation Pete Buttigieg to discuss transportation funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and their shared priorities to fund affordable, sustainable infrastructure for rural and Tribal communities in New Mexico and the country.
Rep. Stansbury also shared information about priority transportation projects in New Mexico and thanked Sec. Buttigieg for his tireless work to improve the nation’s transportation systems to be more sustainable, efficient, and equitable for New Mexicans and Americans. Rep. Stansbury and Sec. Buttigieg additionally discussed the implementation of the landmark Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, historic legislation that is expected to send more than $3.7 billion in formula funding alone to New Mexico over the next decade.
