Congresswoman Stansbury Responds to Shooting Death at Washington Middle School

ALBUQUERQUE — U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury (N.M.-01) released the following statement after a student was shot and killed at Washington Middle School this afternoon:
“My heart is heavy after learning that a student at Washington Middle School died of a gunshot wound sustained while he was at recess. I am holding his family, friends, and the entire Washington Middle community in my thoughts right now.
“As we mourn, we must take action to end the senseless gun violence that robs us of the lives of our children and the members of our community.”
