Congresswoman Stansbury Recognizes and Thanks our Service Members on Veterans Day
WASHINGTON—Today, U.S. Representative Melanie Stansbury (N.M.-01) released the following statement honoring veterans in New Mexico and across the nation:
“Today, we extend our deepest gratitude to our veterans in New Mexico and across the nation for their service and sacrifice. New Mexicans have a long and proud tradition of service that extends throughout our communities.
“In thanking our veterans for their service, we must also ensure that our nation fulfills its sacred obligation to care for our veterans and their families. This includes expanding access to health care and other services, economic opportunities, and support to address veterans’ homelessness and PTSD.
“Next week, I will be heading back to Washington, D.C. to work with my colleagues to pass the Build Back Better Act, which will invest $5 billion in Veterans Administration infrastructure, which is crucial to expanding VA services. I am humbled to serve New Mexico and our veterans and their families, and I am dedicated to fulfilling these obligations in Congress.”
